Whether recovering from an injury, managing chronic pain, or seeking to improve your athletic performance, we employ various treatment techniques, from manual therapy and exercise prescription to state-of-the-art modalities, to restore your mobility and enhance your quality of life. Our goal is to help people function optimally at all stages of life!
Injury Management Through Physiotherapy
As a part of life, we all experience injuries and pain. However, these moments do not have to stop you from participating in a fulfilling life with the things you enjoy. Here at Body for Life, we specialise in acute injury management. As part of our process, we will conduct assessments to diagnose injury and establish a baseline as a reference point for recovery. As an evidence-based practice, we adopt the following as part of injury management:
- Soft tissue and joint treatment
- Bracing and taping
- Education
- Advice
- Referrals
- Exercise prescription
Exercise Rehabilitation
After sustaining an injury, engaging in appropriate and specific movements and progressions is crucial to restore symptom-free mobility and return to normal function. Evidence indicates that movement, when appropriately prescribed and performed, has overwhelming benefits post-surgery, injury, or immobility.
Furthermore, we offer prehabilitation, a proactive exercise program delivered before planned orthopaedic surgery. Evidence shows that individuals who engage in high-quality prehabilitation programs experience a faster rehabilitation process, regaining strength and reducing sensations of pain and immobility post-operation.
As part of this process, we will work with your elected orthopaedic surgeon to assist you in a smooth recovery and return to standard functionality.
Pre and Post Natal Physiotherapy
We often use soft tissue techniques, trimester-appropriate exercise prescription, taping or bracing to care for mums and mums-to-be. Our service aims to relieve pain or discomfort, encourage exercise to maintain strength, support the return of pelvic function after birth, and exercise therapy to return to activity and daily function.
